Vitamin E is a powerful antioxidant known to stabilize cell membranes during strenuous exercise. It neutralizes free-radicals and protects the immune system from damage caused by destructive enzymes released by pathogenic micro-organisms.
E-Booster pellets are made with the d-alpha (NATURALLY) occurring form of vitamin E from vegetable oils.
E-Booster pellets supplies about 5000 IU of Vitamin E per 20 g scoop. Feed more or less as required in your particular instance. Vitamin E is non-toxic.
The National Research Council RDA is 800 IU for a 500 kg horse in light use or 1000 for heavy use. Many vets believe this is inadequate, some are recommending 5000 IU per day especially for Endurance, racing TB and Standardbreds.
